Conditions That Affect Our Breathing While Sleeping
Do you have difficulties breathing during the night? It has been proven that many people have trouble breathing during the night. Breathing is very essential in the life of human beings. This is because it supports life. It will mark the end of life if people lived without breathing, they die immediately. Secondly, it causes people not to have enough sleep at night. Thirdly, it makes one snow which is a distract or to those people that are sleeping in the room. Therefore those people that are having trouble breathing should consider looking at the reasons that are causing the problem. Two main reasons can make one not able to breathe properly while sleeping. Sleep apnea and asthma problem is among the causes.
Asthma is a condition that is more prevalent to kids than adults. The condition alters with the lungs by disrupting air from getting to all parts of the body. People that are asthmatic develop symptoms of coughing, wheezing and inability to breath well. People that are suffering from asthma experience another type of asthma during the night that is known as nocturnal asthma. The symptoms of this asthma are more like the day time asthma though they make people have trouble sleeping. The patient will have difficulties breathing and even sleeping. The straining for grasping air makes people unable to sleep. Patients that suffer from severe asthma are likely to suffer from chronic asthma. Hence to avoid insomnia at night asthmatic people should consider seeking for treatment.
The other reason why people have trouble breathing at night is sleep apnea disorder. This is whereby a person has irregular breathing patterns; there are times when the breathing stops. This pattern makes oxygen levels to drop hence a person does not get enough oxygen in their system. The symptoms of sleep apnea are loud snoring and the body wearing out even after sleeping for many hours. There are many types of sleep apnea. Obstractive sleep apnea is a condition whereby the throat muscle relax blocking the airway. When the muscle blocks the airways the body does not get enough oxygen supply. Central sleep apnea occurs when the body does not send a signal the muscle to control breathing. Complex sleep apnea occurs when a patient has both central and obstructive sleep apnea. The most common type of sleep apnea is the obstructive sleep apnea. The the consistency of the problem determines the severity of sleep apnea.
The best thing to do is to undergo sleep disorder test that will diagnose the cause of a breathing problem at night. People should ensure they have adequate sleep; so that they can live a healthy life. Hence, there is a need to address any distract or that disrupt our sleeping.
